Blame Harry Reid as Las Vegas Valley jobless rate hits record 15 percent
Blame Harry Reid - CARSON CITY – The unemployment rate in the Las Vegas area in July rose to 14.8 percent, the 19th consecutive month of double-digit joblessness.
Blame Harry Reid as Statewide, the jobless rate inched up to 14.3 percent, continuing to be the highest in the nation. It was the 16th straight month the rate has increased to a record high.
Blame Harry Reid as Nevada continued to document the nation’s highest state foreclosure rate for the 44th straight month, with one in every 84 housing units receiving a foreclosure filing in August — 4.5 times the national average.

Nevada - New numbers released today show an increase in foreclosures across 75% of America’s metropolitan areas during the first half of 2010. Nevada is among the states wor
st hit by this increase, and the numbers show Las Vegas as the worst city in the entire country for foreclosures. One in every fifteen homes in Las Vegas has been foreclosed upon.
Researchers assert that the prime cause of these high foreclosure rates is no longer the toxic loans of the housing crisis, but the staggering unemployment rate. Nevada’s 14.2% unemployment rate—the highest in the nation—has left the state particularly vulnerable to these new rounds of foreclosures.
Jerry Stacy, a spokesperson for U.S. Senatorial candidate Sharron Angle, said that Senator Harry Reid’s failed economic programs continue to worsen the circumstances facing Nevadans.
“Harry Reid’s policies have caused Nevadans to lose their jobs and now their homes. Nevadans can’t wait around—they need help today, and it’s not ever going to come from Harry Reid,” Stacy said. “We need a Senator with fresh ideas that can return us to prosperity—a Senator like Sharron Angle.”

"It would take a real stretch to think I caused the problems with the economy, and that's what she is trying to do," Reid said referencing his GOP opponent, Sharron Angle. "You know that I have nothing to do with those unemployment figures, in fact I have worked hard to change them ... I think it is my job to create jobs.

I say it is time to fire the Red Queen and free ourselves from her tyranny. As for the Mad Hatter...Let him try to find a civilian job in Nevada....
